Great Shed Selections!
There are so many garden shed designs but all the ones that you see at the major home improvement stores are very boring. I was looking for something different so I started searching online for what was available. As soon as I got to this site, I was able to see 12,000 different shed plans just by entering my email. I have been blown away by the choices. Just the sizes available blow away anything else I have seen thus far. I love that it provides detailed project instructions. It looks like some come with video explanation as well, but I really have not gotten that far yet. I am still trying to pick out the plan that is best for me and my skill level. I also like that it helps with cost questions and time scheduling issues. I can get most of that at the local stores, but who cares if I really don’t like the designs they offer in the first place. I highly recommend trying this site for research and ideas. It is better than anything else out there right now.

Besides fabric and a needle, thread is one of the standard items for sewing. Sewing thread is very versatile as it comes in a myriad of colors, materials and types. Depending on what the thread is being used for, will be determined by any of the factors of the many choices available.
Sewing thread comes in just about any color imaginable, including metallic. A general rule of choosing a color for a project is to be the most dominant color of the fabric. If there is no perfect match, one or two shades darker will not stand out as much as lighter shades. Nylon is a mono-filament thread which makes it practically invisible and popular for uses where the stitching should not be easily seen, and therefore flaws are not noticeable. When metallic colors are used, be sure that they are labeled for machine use if that’s the method being done.
Cotton is the most common material for sewing thread because it is durable and easy to use. When sewing light or medium weight fabrics with little stretch, this is the best sewing thread choice. However, it will not “give” and stitches may break when used with stretchy types of fabric.
Polyester is another type of thread that is common for both hand and machine stitching. Usually labeled as “all-purpose”, this type is a little more suitable for fabrics that stretch. Polyester thread has a slightly more waxy or shiny appearance, and so is sometimes blended with cotton to reduce this effect.
For more special tasks, are silk and wool. Silk thread is one of the most strong and durable, and is commonly used for very delicate fabrics such as for sheer garments. Wool thread is thicker, so needles with larger eyes need to be used. Also being very ‘fuzzy’, wool tends to leave an accumulation of fibers in its wake, especially in machine bobbin cases which will need regular cleaning after using this thread.
With so many choices available, it may seem a little daunting to know what to use. However, it is also relatively easy to chose the best type of thread to use when sewing a project. Always keep in mind what needs are to be met for color and strength, and the results should be quite satisfactory.
